Tool worked like it was designed however the plates bent putting the rear caliper piston back in making it impossible for the pins and the magnet to hold the larger plates for the front calipers. If not for that it would have gotten 5 stars.

I like it very much. Works well. I think I would change only one thing. The round part I would make it so a wrench would fit on it. Not sure fat fingers would be able to hold it to start ratcheting.

Was going to use it on my wife's car, but, took a very long time to be delivered. Doing a full brake job on my 2500 Ram so will see how it works. I am good very with tools so didn't need instructions, of which there were none! Box it came it, though in a shipping bag, was coming apart at various spots.
Despite the above, does look like it will be a good tool.

Not having the best experience with this thing, but I'm making it work. One of the plates, the one that screws into the assembly, was bent on arrival. I put it in my vice and straightened it out, no big deal. It comes with large adapter plates to handle bigger calipers that attach magnetically, but one of the magnets immediately fell out. I shattered it trying to reinstall, so it doesn't attach like it should. Did my first brake job with it and it worked amazingly well, it's a good design. Probably shaved a half an hour off the job. When I was finished, I noticed that the plate was bent again from the force exerted from the caliper. I put it back in my vice and adjusted it again, only this time it broke the weld holding the plate to the threaded rod. I like the tool enough to fix it, I just wish it had better build quality out of the box.

The tool took close to a month to receive.. I didn't expect it was going to be so long.. well I need to finish a job.. so I went to local auto parts store.. where they had this tool.. I purchased it as it was cheaper then this.. but I thought that the one I ordered would be a craftsman brand tool.. when I got it in the mail.. it was the same exact one that I bought at the parts store..

This design is better than the first one I purchased. The first one had course threads on one side and fine threads on the other and the fine thread side stripped after several uses.

It doesn't work like I thought it would I struggled a little bit the metal and magnetic parts don't stay together as well as I think they should and the ratchet isn't that great either.

As soon as I opened the package, one if the large caliper adapter plates fell off. On of the magnets has come unglued. Ok, stuff happens. I was working on a 2004 Dodge Dakota and wouldn't need them. When I started the job I discovered that the tool didn't adjust small enough. I had to resort to the C-clamp methodology I have used in the past to compress the cylinder enough to use your tool. That being said it is a great idea. I just wish it would work on the smaller calipers without help.

I used it on a dual piston caliper on a GM 2500HD and it worked fine. The only problem was the side plates are removable and the magnets that hold them in place are not strong enough and they fall out due to bad glue.

What you might want to tell the folks ordering is that its coming from china and it will be almost 2 weeks before it will arrive I already had my brake job done way before it arrived . Other than that it looks like it should get the job done .

The item I received is good, but it is not the item shown in the advertisement. I had bought one prior to the second one. The first one was as advertised with blue handle and single set of plates. I ordered another form a different ad from the same company. The photo showed the item had a red handle with two sets of plates. The second set of plates fit over the first and made the surface longer. And it also cost right much more. When I received the second item it was the same as the first one. I the item was misrepresented and cost more money. Don’t buy from this company.

I ordered the red deluxe model and got the regular blue handled one. The only problem is the ratchet works so hard you have to manually spin the pads so they are touching the piston and outside caliper to get the ratchet to start working. But it does work easy after that.

I thought I was getting three sets of bad thing but I only got one but other than that it's fine he said I was getting a single piston a double piston the quad piston I guess that one you gave me works on all but other than that it works great

Was a little skeptical, I have done my own brakes for years but with the larger calipers out there now I really didn't have the right c clamp,old school. I saw this and figured I would give it a shot, the older you get the easier you want things o be...lol. I was surprised, did brakes on a F150 and it worked well. I plan on using it on my GT500 next. I expect it will work well again.
